Our Mission
Beyond “peasant science” into industrial innovation
Uganda’s industrial future depends on transitioning from a workforce dominated by basic labor to one driven by industrial human capital. FONSTI breaks the cycle where research is detached from economic impact, championing a new generation of scientists who not only generate knowledge but translate it into viable industrial products.
Through a deliberate skilling process integrating scientific expertise, industrial application, and entrepreneurial acumen, we lay the foundation for a knowledge-driven economy.
- Skilled STI human capital for prioritised industrial value chains
- Technological innovations and services for high-value industries
- Industries equipped to employ a new STI-trained workforce
