HCD-STI Team Building events
In the race to move an egg on a spoon, Team Miracle prevailed.

On June 19th, 2023, an essential team-building event was held at the Akamwesi Gardens as part of the "Developing a National Network of STI Excellence as a Foundry for Accelerated Transformative STI Human Capital Development" project. The purpose of this gathering was to foster stronger bonds among team members, enhance communication and collaboration, and reinforce the project's goals and objectives. The team-building event featured a diverse range of activities tailored to enhance teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills among participants.  

To kick off the event, icebreaker activities were organized, fostering a friendly atmosphere and enabling team members to become better acquainted. Subsequently, teams engaged in challenging tasks that demanded collaboration, strategic thinking, and effective communication to overcome obstacles and achieve objectives.


The competition to walk on moving crates while loaded was won by Team Heaven.

Facilitated group discussions provided a platform for participants to exchange insights, ideas, and experiences relevant to the project's goals and strategies, promoting a deeper understanding and alignment among team members. Lastly, a dedicated session for reflection and feedback enabled individuals to share their thoughts on the activities and propose strategies for improving teamwork and collaboration within the project. Overall, these activities not only strengthened team cohesion but also equipped participants with valuable skills and insights essential for the project's success.

The brain power game was won by Team Blessed

Conclusion: The team-building event at Akamwesi Gardens was a resounding success, contributing to the cohesion and effectiveness of the project team. By fostering stronger relationships, improving communication and collaboration, and reinforcing the project's goals and objectives, the event has laid a solid foundation for continued progress and success in achieving STI excellence.

Recommendations: We recommend conducting regular team-building activities to maintain and strengthen team dynamics, communication, and collaboration throughout the duration of the project.
